RED Episode 168 LIVE: Challenge Accepted!

SHOUT OUTS

Thanks to all our patrons, we have expanded our studio and keep the show going over the last year and a half.   We can’t express how much it means to us.  Your support is appreciated from the bottom of our hearts.

Congratulations to Andi on her 5K and Greg on his 50-MILE race!  Big shoutouts to you both as well as everyone in the “Runcation Nation” who ran some miles over the holiday weekend.

RUN

75 Hard Challenge is a challenge we discuss in this episode.  We started it on June 1st.  We talk about it as a challenge that builds mental toughness, and it will impact what we do as far as running, eating, and drinking for the next 75 days.  Running will be a part of the challenge for us as it requires two workouts each day of 45 minutes.  These workouts cannot be consecutive, and one must be outdoors, so our Couch to 5K and weekly running will be a perfect way to get workouts in during the challenge.

EAT

75 Hard Challenge also requires us to choose a diet and stick to it.  No cheat meals.  We have chosen, of course, whole-food plant-based.  We will be featuring favorite recipes and featuring those kinds of meals when we travel, too.

DRINK

This challenge also requires us to drink a gallon of water a day. And… no alcohol!  So, we will be featuring healthy beverages during the challenge.

There are other components of this challenge we talk about during the show as well.  Here’s a link to the podcast episode that outlines the challenge:
